There are many opportunities to help the Northumberland Log Bank, get in touch if you'd like to help.
Some examples of volunteering options:
- Collect fallen wood and deliver to the log bank ready for processing
- Process the donated wood into manageable logs
- Pack logs ready for delivery
- Deliver logs to homes around Northumberland
- Collect recycled bags from farmers/businesses in Northumberland
We need wood donations
The Northumberland Log Bank cannot operate without wood donations. We can accept fallen trees and have several trained chainsaw operators. Our preference is seasoned hardwood, but we can accept small amounts of unseasoned wood, and soft wood.
We can also take donations of firewood if you are moving house and have no further use for it.

Bag Donations
During winter we deliver to up to 50 households each week, each home receives 6 bags of seasoned logs, to remain as economical as possible, we use any suitable 25 kg bags, animal feed bags, malt bags, etc. If you have bags available, get in touch and we can arrange collection - 0747 056 4442
